Despite having lived a minimalist life in a 150 square foot motorhome I have a lot of stuff that I don’t need. Much of it is clothing that I kept in New York while I was traveling but other items are long-unused possessions that have mystifyingly stuck around. It’s time for me to get rid of those things.
With the exception of cold weather gear I’m instituting an X-month rule, where “X” is yet-to-be-determined. Anything that hasn’t been used in that number of months gets given away or trashed, and the institution I am creating to make this happen is Simplifying Saturdays. Once a week I am going to go through my things and identify a few of them to chuck. This past Saturday relieved me of a shirt, Korean flag and some amazing – and amazingly cheap – scalp massagers. I’ll be posting my weekly purge to keep myself accountable.
This should be fun. Anyone want to join in?
